And the follow-up from director Denis Villeneuve and starring Ryan Gosling is, in my opinion, one of the best sci-fi films to come out of a studio in years. The original ‘Blade Runner’, from director Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, is nowadays regarded as a masterpiece and heavily influential in shaping the visual and thematic language of countless modern cyberpunk works.
